The High School Ministry at Calvary Chapel is all about Jesus. The bible teaches us to Love God and love people, so our desire is do just that. We study through the bible verse by verse and chapter by chapter so that we can know and obey our Savior.

Meet the Leadership Team
Jared Stidham
"I've been at Calvary Chapel since I was a very young boy. I'm now the high school pastor. I was called into this ministry in 2018. I'm here to help the next generation learn who God is and who they are and how they should live as a result. Kimmy is my wife, Sarah is my sister, and Nate is my brother-in-law. I am so blessed to be serving along side my family."

"I've been at Calvary Chapel since I moved here from Belize in 2018. When the Lord laid serving the high schoolers on my heart I was quite hesitant. At the time, I was serving the pre-k kiddos, but the Lord led me out and brought me into a new place. I count myself highly favored by the Lord to be able to witness His doings in and through His flock. I have fallen deeply in love with this ministry, the high schoolers, and the high school pastor."

"I was invited to Calvary Chapel’s youth group by a friend in 2018 as a 10th grader who had just moved to Chico from Central Asia, and it became a place I could deepen my relationship with Jesus and make new friends. I joined this amazing team of leaders in the summer of 2022 to help minister to these high schoolers. I felt called to pour into my generation. I think it’s epic to see teens find their identity in Christ and be transformed by His great love for them."

"I grew up going to Calvary Chapel and have been attending ever since I moved back to Chico a few years ago. I started serving in high school ministry in July, 2022. I wanted to serve and God opened the door to be a leader. I'm blessed to serve with a team of leaders that are my friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. Their love for Jesus overflows into the youth group and into my life as well. I realize what a pivotal time high school is and I want all the high schoolers to know God's great love and compassion for them. The goodness of life found in Him, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life."

"I've been attending Calvary Chapel all of my life. I began serving in high school ministry in July, 2021 and I lead the praise team. Though I was initially intimidated at the thought of joining the leadership, God very clearly said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' He called me to be His willing hands and feet and watch Him work in the lives of these kids who I love so much and many of whom I have watched grow up."

"I've been attending Calvary Chapel for the past 15 years. In 2018, I began serving in the high school youth group by helping supervise and lead small groups. When I first started, it was mostly just to help support my brother-in-law, Jared Stidham. However, over the years, I've come to find a Spirit led passion in pointing these young men towards the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I'm excited to be a part of what God is doing here."
